Zoom instructions
To join the online Zoom meeting:
NB: We recommend joining via a PC/Laptop, this will ensure that you are able to see all other scouts, and we will also be easier for you at times when we share screen. But this is not essential if all you have is a Tablet or Phone
Once downloaded and installed, on Thursday:

Open the software and click the blue “Join a Meeting” button

Enter the below information and click “Join”.

the Meeting ID

Enter your name in “Personal Link Name”

You’ll then be asked to enter the password.
Meeting ID's and passwords will be emailed for each event. If you do not recieve them please contact us by phone, email hello@5thFromeScouts.org.uk or through social media.
Security/code of conduct measures;

Please make sure you are using the latest version of Zoom

Join with the biggest sceen you can (ideally a PC/Lapto, or a tablet/phone if not)

We will be operating a waiting room, if we do not recognise the name you will not be allowed to enter the room, so please make sure you use a name we know. As above please make sure you set you name as you join the meeting, you wont be able to change it during the meeting.

Please keep your camera on

Please be respectful to others in the zoom meeting as you would in our normal meetings. This includes not talking while others are talking.

If you're in a noisy environment, you can mute your mic and unmute it when you have some thing say.

To ensure the young people are able to take part in the activity safely, an adult should be in the vicinity of the device being used. This does not mean that they have to be online with them or looking over their shoulder, but in the same room or the room next door would be great.
